`Help for the Homeless

The Pleasant St. Drop-in Center is a place for the unhoused to Rest, Replenish, and Rejuvenate. The drop-in Center opened in February of 2022 and has served more than 3200 guests in the last 12 months. We are open just 2 days per week, but help nearly 100 people per week. We provide breakfast, a hot meal at lunch, free clothing, and free goods from our "store" including toiletries, hats, gloves, mittens, and critical survival gear such as sleeping bags and tents. We recently opened a shower facility that our unhoused guests can use - the only access to showering for most. We operate only with volunteers. Our annual operating costs are approximately $25,000 per year. Future plans include raising funds to hire a part-time Executive Director to facilitate future growth in the program.
