My name is Jameiyah Sparks, contestant number 1 in the Miss Omega Psi Phi Scholarship Pageant for the Beta Zeta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. I am a second-year student at the University of Georgia, majoring in Exercise and Sport Science on the pre-medical track.
As the big sister to three young men in the making, I am deeply passionate about helping my brothers grow into strong, positive role models. Growing up on the south side of Atlanta, I witnessed many young men make life-altering mistakes simply because they lacked proper guidance and mentorship. Black men make up 60% of Georgia’s prison population—a statistic I believe can be reduced through the expansion of programs like Next Level Boys Academy.
Founded by Gary Davis in Metro Atlanta, Next Level Boys Academy is an empowerment and mentorship program for young African American males. The organization provides opportunities for growth and redemption, allowing young men who may have faced legal trouble to correct their paths outside of prison walls.
As a contestant in the Miss Omega Psi Phi Scholarship Pageant hosted by the Beta Zeta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., I am honored to support Next Level Boys Academy as my chosen organization. This program truly embodies the Fatherhood Initiative that the men of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. uphold.!
Please consider supporting me in this meaningful endeavor—and thank you in advance for your generous donation.
