Holiday Challenge
This year has been full of challenges with the pandemic and parents losing jobs and resources as a result. My Dad was furloughed for a while, my mom is still furloughed. We moved from sunny Florida to beautiful snowy Minnesota, which has been personally challenging for me adjusting to a new school and not being able to meet new friends. But, I remembered a quote from Martin Luther King Jr. that I saw on a family trip to Washington DC, "The ultimate measure of a [wo]man is not where [s]he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where [s]he stands at times of challenge and controversy." Even though we had challenges, we are blessed and thankful for what we have. I challenged my parents to help those who need it most, kids. I asked them if I donated money from my savings if they would match it, and they agreed. I wanted to challenge our friends and family near and far to do the same. I would be grateful for any donation you can give and will use it to help provide food and clothing for families in need this holiday season, to help let them know they are cared for.
