Newport RSL needs your help

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Gavin Scholes. My goal is to raise a minimum of AUD 100,000 to
address urgent repairs to the Newport RSL.
Built-in 1946, the building provides vital essential services to Veterans, their families and the community. Since it was established, it has had minimal renovations and, therefore, is
becoming unsafe and won't meet building standards. Funds raised will go
towards addressing urgent repairs. Repairs include re-stumping, re-flooring, brickwork has become dangerous, kitchen and coolroom need to be bought inline
with Council regulations.
In January 2017 the RSL closed the Williamstown RSL leaving approximately 200 members without a local home; Newport RSL now takes responsibility for some of these members providing crucial services to mainly elderly members.
Newport RSL has no paid staff and relies solely on bar sales and occasional small fundraisers. Every ANZAC day, Newport RSL manages the Dawn Service at the
Cenotaph in Williamstown each year, which gets a massive attendance.
Newport RSL needs our urgent help; please donate, and let's create a venue we
can, and should be proud of.
Thank you in anticipation of your support.
