We're fundraising to support the upcoming year of Newport Round Table, a community based organisation of men aged 18-45.
In the past year, Newport Round Table has supported multiple good causes in the City, such as:
- The management of the annual rolling Santa Sleigh (and the Grinch!) to bring festivity, including gifts distributed amongst children in care;
- The donation of £500 to the local Severn Area Rescue Association (SARA) to support them in continuing their life-saving work;
- Donations of 100+ reusable water bottles to St Josephs Primary School to ensure children have access to water at all times;
- Donations of Balls and Bibs to Undy AFC U13s of whom desperately needed support to be sustainable for another Season;
- Donations of a trolley-full of Easter Eggs to children in the most deprived local areas;
- The organisation of a fun-filled 100th Birthday Party for a resident at Blan y Pant Nursing Home in collaboration with MusiCare;
- The donation of £100+ worth of bedding and furnishings as well as cleaning and maintenance for a local individual who'd found themselves in a tough situation
...and many more, all whilst supporting our own members internally (and local guests to the table!) with social activities such as laser tag and bowling to give much needed boosts to our own health and wellbeing.
In the upcoming year - to quote our Chairman, the focus is Action over Words. We aim to build on funding raised in previous years to enable us to continue our community support. We may be a small organisation, but we always target those who need us the most - we thrive on making a difference, living by our motto of #DoMore.
Your donations could really help us to:
- Repair and improve our Santa Sleigh, and continue this service to the local areas of Newport;
- Offer more meaningful support to the fantastic local organizations such as Newport Lifeboat Station that regularly provide life-saving services;
- Build our portfolio of supported good causes, from Sports Clubs to Schools across the City;
- Be more active in our Communities;
- Help us to target more of those individuals who need us the most.
This year, as well as all of the above, we aim to raise even more cash by:
- Hiking across Brecon's 4 peaks;
- Running half marathons;
- Cycling long distances;
- Committing to ad-hoc fundraisers;
... all to help us to support this cause.
Your donations, however big or small, are invaluable to us and we will ensure it makes a real difference.
