Mike’s Holiday Hoedown – Fundraiser for Easter Seals Ontario

We’re hosting a Christmas party with live country music right here in Newmarket, and we’d love your support.

All funds raised will first go toward covering the venue fee for the Newmarket Veterans Association Hall. Every dollar beyond that will be donated directly to Easter Seals Ontario, supporting kids and families who need it most.

The holidays are a time when community actually means something. For most of us, it’s food, friends, music, and that feeling of everyone coming together. But for families raising children with disabilities, the holidays can also be a tough reminder of how expensive and difficult life can be. Essential equipment like walkers, wheelchairs, communication devices, home modifications, and therapy tools aren’t luxuries. They’re lifelines. And they’re often out of reach without support.

This cause is especially close to our hearts because Amanda Messina, bass player and vocalist, is a pediatric occupational therapist. She sees it firsthand every single day, in homes, in schools, and in clinics. Families doing everything they can, stretching every dollar, trying to secure the equipment and resources their kids need just to participate in everyday life. The funding gaps are real, and they’re heavy. Easter Seals helps fill those gaps so kids can live with comfort, dignity, and independence.

Our hope is simple: throw a fun night of country music with friends and community, and turn the energy of the holidays into something meaningful for families who genuinely need the help.
