Hi, my name is James and I’ve decided to run the Newcastle Way Marathon on the 29th November to raise money for Autastic at St Peter’s. Autastic is a group run solely by dedicated volunteers every Saturday in St Peter’s Hall, Lurgan. Autastic provide a safe, fun and welcoming space for children with autism (pre and post diagnosis), their siblings and their carers to come each week. Autastic provide lots of sensory toys for the children as well as organising activities such as arts and crafts for siblings to enjoy.

Autastic also facilitate and fund trips and events throughout the year such as trips to Lisburn Pool, Exploris and the cinema. These trips were extremely beneficial for the kids, their siblings and their carers as the families were able to enjoy quality time together whilst making fun memories.

The support that Autastic has offered my daughter Phoebe and our family has been invaluable.

As a keen runner I would love to be able to give back to say Thank you for all the fantastic work that Autastic do.
