Time For Improvement
So many of us have undoubtedly noticed, the deteriorating state of the Whitetail Subdivision neighborhood entrance sign. We should all agree that it is looking pretty bad and not the first impression we want for our great neighborhood.
On the Whitetail Nextdoor app and Whitetail Facebook page, there has been discussion replacing the original dated sign. Many people responded they would be willing to donate funds to remove and replace the sign. We have worked with several contractors and believe we can do this for under $6,500. That includes removal and disposal of the existing sign, installation of a new limestone wall with pillars, metal channel lettering, new low maintenance landscaping and solar lighting installed in a small limestone planter.
At this time we just wanted to get quotes to replace the old existing sign. If there are enough donations and interest we will work on getting quotes for a much smaller sign or signs to be installed at the Deer Draw / Parkside entrance if the two residents at that corner are ok with it
The sign design has not been chosen until more residents have voiced their opinion and chosen the new font and artwork on the pillars.
We wanted to make sure everyone had a vote and an opportunity to contribute to the funding of the sign. With over 200 homes in the Whitetail subdivision a $6,500 goal to replace the old sign should not be a problem.
With your much appreciated donation please provide input on your sign choice so all neighbor's votes can be tabulated. If you would rather donate with cash or a check please private message myself, Teana, or Jason on Nextdoor or Facebook.
We hope to get this project started and completed in August with a cutoff of fundraising July31st, 2021
If we do not meet the goal, another lower cost sign option may be discussed or donations will be refunded.
