New Ukrainian Family in Canada

Hi, my name is Justin, and I am the annual organizer of The Boys Christmas, which sponsors a family for Christmas.

Due to the unfortunate events of the invasion of Ukraine by the Russians, we are facing a number of Ukrainian refugees coming to Canada.

This year for the fundraiser, we are putting together a Christmas for one family who came over because of such tragedy.

Veronika is the mother of two young children, ages 5 and 18 months. She is accompanied by her older sister Oksana, who also has two children, ages 13 and 16. Both sisters have husbands that stayed back in Ukraine to contribute to the efforts to defend Ukraine

Veronika and her husband had a very successful Apiary that housed over 100 thousand bees to produce various products such as skin creams and other essential beauty products. Veronika brought over 2KG worth of beeswax to Canada to continue making her products here.

Veronika's sister was the nurturing type to be a very successful school teacher, inspiring children to be the best version of themselves.

Leaving Europe was heartbreaking for the six of them with their multimonth journey to Winnipeg, having slept in over 30 different places, often moving daily to avoid danger.

In addition to cash donations, this extraordinary family is looking for various helpful items now that they are settling in Canada.

2. Verokina's sister's children were saving their money to buy a Play Station 4 (PS 5 was too expensive), but they had to spend their savings on travel to Canada.
