Upgrade the Teepads at Oregon Disc Golf Course!
Welcome to our GoFundMe campaign to upgrade the Oregon Disc Golf Course at Alton Baker Park in Eugene, Oregon! This 18-hole, pay-to-play course, the brainchild of Dave Battaglia the architect of disc golf in Eugene, has been a beloved community hub since 2013, hosting over 20,000 rounds annually and ranking as Oregon’s 5th most-played course in 2024 with 9,419 UDisc rounds. Located on 30 acres next to the Willamette River, it offers a scenic and challenging experience for beginners and pros alike, with stunning views of Autzen Stadium, Pre’s Running Trail, and local gardens.
As the sole caretaker, I, Myron Clements of Oregon Disc Golf, personally maintain this course to ensure best possible conditions. However, the current 18 paver teepads are showing their age and limitations—slippery when wet, uneven surfaces leading to potential injuries, and lacking the professional feel that our growing community deserves. With a 30% surge in disc golf participation from 2024 to 2025, it's time to elevate the player experience.
We're focusing this campaign on replacing all 18 paver teepads with new Disc Golf Pro Tour-level turf pads from Alpha Turf. These high-quality artificial turf teepads provide superior traction in all weather conditions, a natural grass-like feel, reduced impact on joints, and low maintenance, making them ideal for high-traffic courses like ours. Used in professional tournaments and praised for their durability and performance, these upgrades will bring our course to elite standards, enhancing safety, playability, and enjoyment for thousands of visitors each year.
Funds raised will go directly toward purchasing and installing these premium turf pads, partnering with Alpha Turf NW, a local leader in artificial grass solutions based in Oregon. Your support will transform the course into a world-class destination, fostering connection, recreation, and growth in our vibrant disc golf community. Every donation helps us tee off toward a better future!
Thank you for your support!
