Do you want to join me in making a difference? As the Chair of the Trustees I am raising money in aid of the 1st Hersham Scout Group and every donation will help. The Trustees have been trying to find a new home for the Group locally since 2012 but this is falling on deaf ears at Elmbridge Borough Council. Therefore, we have to look to the future and ensure the current premises will serve us well for many years ahead. The first part of this plan is to change the old ASBESTOS roof. To date, I have raised £20,000 through Your Fund Surrey and Bernard Sunley Foundation but we are short by £12,000. Having a new roof will make the premises more economical to run, warmer in the winter, and finally, we can say goodbye to all that nasty asbestos over our heads.

Thousands of local children have benefited from their experiences since the Group was formed in 1953 and this continues to be the case today.
