New Port at Victory HOA

Hello, I'm Greg, the current President of New Port at Victory Home Owners Association. For the past two years, the HOA was run by individuals who were only self-serving, condescending, and disrespectful.

There were numerous occasions and meetings where the members were not allowed to ask questions in regard to decisions that were being made at the time. The controlling behavior even escalated to blocking, removing, and censoring individuals from the Facebook page that is used to communicate if anyone simply questioned their motives behind said decisions; such as hiring their daughter's "security" company at a budgeted $11,000 a month. They've also appointed individuals that don't pay HOA dues and/or are behind in dues to the association to the Board.

The previous Board Of Directors, as of last year, has stated that all 5 Director positions will be up for elections in August of 2023 and now that August 2023 has come upon us they have decided, on 1 week's notice, to postpone that election for another month. They have also re-appointed an individual who previously resigned for an additional 1-year term despite the fact that they were going to be voted out by the rest of the Board Of Directors. According to bylaws, all terms were to be ended August of '23. Therefore, an additional 1-year term, as well as a delay in the election, not only allow for a continuation of negligent behavior but was done in complete disregard of the governing bylaws and direct violation of the Articles of Incorporation.

The standing President of the Board determined that this wasn't correct and chose to move ahead with the elections as they were scheduled for the past year. The members were called to a meeting and chose a new 5-member Board Of Directors. This newly elected Board is looking to retain an attorney to get everything back that is rightfully the HOA's property up to and including all the financials and CSM access.

Unfortunately, we have to turn to the community to spend even more of their hard-earned money to get back to normal operations and do right for the neighborhood. All donations will be going towards retaining an attorney to fight the previous Board Of Directors and the HOA Board of Directors' attorney to accomplish this.
