The New Parks Community Panel has operated for over 25 years and is a resident lead non - profit voluntary organisation whose vision is to cut deprivation in the area. We do this through the New Parks Food Bank ,

The New Parks Lunch Club and setting up new groups to provide skills, friendship. entertainment etc.

The New Parks Foodbank was Founded in January 2020 and now operates from The New Parks Methodist Church,(corner of Battersbee Road/New Parks way LE39LD) and is open every Thursday from 11.00am til 2.00pm. It is not just a foodbank for those in extreme poverty. We provide affordable food to anybody, for a small donation you receive enough food items, and toiletries to last a single person up to 5 days. We take referrals from various agencies for emergency food parcels Monday - Friday in the LE3 Postcode areas.

THE FOOD BANK CAN ONLY SURVIVE WITH GRANTS AND DONATIONS - It cost £800 per week to serve this community. We desperately need help to raise funds to continue this much needed service into another year. CAN YOU HELP A SMALL DONATION £5 or £10 goes towards feeding a family.

Working alongside the Community Hub, the Mental Health Cafe and other agencies we provide information to the public on benefits, money advice, anti - social behaviour and housing advice.
