New Mexico Fire Relief Fundraiser and Music Fest

NMARB, Co-founded and directed by Keith Sanchez and Ana Romero-Sanchez  along with Marble Brewery are joining forces to raise funds for those affected by the Hermit's Peak/Calf Canyon fires.

 

These wildfires of Northern New Mexico have become the largest in our state's recorded history, burning over 300,000 acres. Thousands of our northern New Mexico community members have been evacuated. Many have lost their homes. Immediate needs range from gas gift cards to emergency housing. The Center for Southwest Culture, a non-profit organization located in Albuquerque, is partnering with Northern New Mexico community members to meet those immediate needs. All funds raised will benefit those affected and be distributed by The Center for Southwest Culture.

A music fest fundraiser will be held on May 30th, 3pm-7pm featuring:

Keith Sanchez and the Moon Thieves (4-4:45)
Los Domingueros (5-5:45)
Hooks an the Huckleberries (6-6:46)
at Marble Brewery Downtown. Enjoy live music, food trucks, and friends. We will be accepting items of donation to be distributed to families who have been evacuated from their homes and for the first responders. 
Items requested are:

Elecrolyte drinks (like gatorade) *Firefighters request
Launry Detergent
Hygeine Items (Soap, Shampoo, female products etc)
Toothpaste and brushes
New linens (towels, sheets, pillows)
New board games and card games
New socks and underwear of all sizes
Baby items (diapers, wipes, formula)
Snacks
Batteries

 

As New Mexicans, we have all created beautiful memories in our northern mountains and villages. We are connected in tradition and "querencia". Querencia is the place and heart from which we originate. We've broken bread, danced with, skied with, hiked with, laughed and cried with our families in the north. Now we are asked to help heal together, because that's just what New Mexicans do.
