Help for Janet

Hi, my name is Jamie.

I'm fundraising for my mom. After recently divorcing my parents are now forced to find housing in this outrageously priced market. At 70 years old my father has been staying partially with me and partially with my brother until he can finish building his tiny home. My mother does not have the income to afford her the building expenses or the purchase expenses that are associated with a new home. Her home is currently in desperate need of repair and renovations. She does not have running water in her kitchen and fills a bucket in the bathtub to wash dishes. The floor and the ceiling are collapsing, she does not have a reliable form of heating or cooling in the home, and there has been black mold found throughout the residence. I help as much as I can, however, I am a single mother of two children, though we live comfortably, I do not have the financial ability to assist my mother with a down payment for a home. My mother has worked almost her entire life in the public school system in North Carolina and continues to work there now. She has raised 4 children, 3 grandchildren, and a great grandchild. I could not think of anyone more deserving in my life than this woman.
