This fund raiser has been established for a young man named Lamar that works in our community.  Many of you might see him daily as he walks down Manchester Rd to work at the New Franklin McDonald's.   His day begins by bus then continues with a 4.5mile walk each way from the closest stop in Coventry to our local McDonalds.  

Lamar doesn't have a license, and never really had someone to teach him to drive.  He tried Myers Driving School but the rates per hour were excessive and he could no longer afford doing them.  

This fund raiser has been established to support Lamar with the cost of driving school, perhaps an interim solution to walking a total of 9miles a day to work as we head into winter, and anything left can support him towards saving for a car and the expenses associated with buying a vehicle.  

As a community, let's rally around this young man that many of us see daily walking on Rt93 north and southbound as he goes to and from work.
