New Ferry and Port Sunlight are two linked communities. For the last few years, the community christmas tree and lights on the junction of Boundary Road and Bebington Road which serves both communities has been organised by the New Ferry Residents Association in partnership with the Port Sunlight Village Trust. Since the council stopped providing community christmas trees several years ago, our tree has been supported with funding from our three local councillors. Unfortunately, this year, the Wirral Together Fund was over-subscribed and not enough money is left in the pot to pay the full £820 we need for this year's 22 ft high tree and the lights that are erected on it. We have only received a donation of just over £200 from the fund - leaving us with a shortfall of £600 this year.

We also need to find an additional £300 to pay for a new transformer and new socket on the nearby lamp column to attach the power supply to.

This appeal is being made to all residents and businesses in New Ferry and Port Sunlight to raise that shortfall for our tree and lights for Christmas 2025.
