In response to COVID-19, we are meeting a critical need for food for black people most at-risk (elders, houseless folks, people with pre-existing health issues, and poor people) by delivering fresh organic fruits and vegetables (grown by black farmers), halal meats, and farm fresh eggs to black families.

I will be setting up my home/property with the assistance and guidance of Drinking Gourd Farms to operate as a new homestead location.  All funds will go directly to preparing the soil (i.e. compost, fertilizer), purchasing seed, basic tools, irrigation system, and chickens.

We will begin preparing the ground starting this weekend July 02 with an ongoing daily effort as funds are available.  Your donation will go directly towards feeding families withing our local community that need it the most.

We cannot food box ourselves to freedom.  So, we are building gardens so black people have long term sustainable access to healthy food that is independent of the food system. This isn't just about food. We must continue to fight the systems of white supremacist capitalist patriarchy that created this global pandemic and now worsen its impact through criminalization, eviction, and denial of health care at a time of crisis.
