NEW Chelmsford Skate Park

Chelmsford's Skate Park has fallen into disrepair and desperately needs renovation! We have a committee and plans in place to build a longer-lasting park with more permanent materials! This will be done in TWO phases which we have outlined for you here:
***Phase 1: Right now, we have committed about $4,000 in donated materials/labor (seal coating, jersey barriers, etc.) from the Chelmsford DPW. The outstanding cost of materials and amenities (concrete, benches, lights etc.) is about $5,370. The cost of labor is projected to be about $9,000 Also, we would like to have a maintenance fund (for Phase 1 and 2) of about $3,000, which we project will cover about 6 years. This brings the total estimated cost of Phase 1 to $21,370.
***UPDATE***
Currently, we has $6,271 in cash, and $4,000 in donations of material/labor. The remaining cash needed for Phase 1 is $11,099. At the Chelmsford Preservation Committee, we ask for AND RECEIVED A GENEROUS $10,000 in funding for Phase 1!!!

***Phase 2: will cost a little less that Phase 1 (somewhere around $15,000). The design for Phase 2 is currently in development and will be added as it is created. The plan for Phase 2 is to created a raised bowl section that will mimic a swimming pool.
The grand total estimated cost for the park for both phases and maintenance is $36,370. With donations from the The Town of Chelmsford, the DPW, expected funding from the town, current donations and other fundraising functions, we expect to receive a little over $21,000.
The GoFundMe as our method of getting the remaining funding necessary to complete the finalized design of the skate park.
