Hi my name is Jacob, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my family of four as we work to rebuild our lives after an incredibly difficult few years.

For the past four years, we unknowingly lived in a home infested with black mold. Our landlord knew about the issue and covered it up, while also refusing to fix the AC/heating system and leaving us to deal with major plumbing and septic problems on our own. During that time, our health, finances, and stability were pushed to the limit.

Two weeks ago, we made the hardest and bravest decision of our lives: we sold nearly everything we owned, packed what we could into our car, and drove 36 hours across the country to Idaho in hopes of giving our children a safer, healthier, and more stable future. Every dollar we had went toward gas, food, and securing a safe place to live.

I’ve been applying to every job I can find and am ready to work construction, union jobs, or anything that will help me provide for my family. We are simply waiting for that first opportunity to come through.

Right now, we are starting completely from scratch. We are asking for help with:

Beds and basic household furniture

Clothing and essentials for our kids ages 5 (F size 7 & up) and 14(M size M-L/14 & u )

Work boots and gear so I can accept job opportunities immediately

A second vehicle so my wife isn’t stranded at home with the kids while I’m working, especially in case of emergencies

Support for homeschooling supplies and transportation for field trips and learning activities

We are not asking for luxuries — just the basics to help us stand back up and give our children the safe, stable life they deserve.
