Dear friends and community members,

I'm reaching out to start a fundraiser for the Orrville Railroad Heritage Society to purchase a new bank of batteries for the former US Army Transportation Corps ALCO RSD1, #8050.

With the help of your donation, new batteries will be purchased for the locomotive, bringing this 82-year-old war veteran closer to running under its own power in nearly 30 years.
