My name is Laura and I am fundraising for my little brother Anthony.

On the 9th on September 2024, I received a knock on my door it was the police, they told me that they have found Anthony and they need to escort me to the hospital! 

When I arrived, it was the worst of my life, seeing all of them tubes coming out of my little brother, I didn’t know if he was going to make it. We still don’t know what truly happened to him. 

He was found on the street face down at 5:30 am on a Sunday morning, the only injuries he had was to his head.

He was in coma for three weeks with multiple surgeries throughout.

As time went on Anthony started to become stable, we were so pleased that he getting through it and was still here with us. Everything was going okay. The rehab was working. He had a long way to go but he was doing really well.

In the last few months everything has changed, he can’t walk, his speech has changed, he has become very confused, he doesn’t know where he is most of the time. Now he has started going blind. Due to this decrease in health he is unable to engage with the nurses and due to the hospitals limited care they are unable to provide the care he needs all he is doing is laying in a bed in the dark room day in and day out.

I’ve requested that they do more scans due to the rapid decline in health in order to get to why this is happing to Anthony unfortunately there is only so much they can do.

 

For these reasons I’m trying to raise some money to get him the help he desperately needs. I have been told they don’t know what is happening to him or why this is happening. I need to get him better help with people who understand his injuries and can provide the care he needs, we have the option of going private but unfortunately this is very expensive 90 grand a year, this is something I cannot afford.

With your help I’m hoping to be able to get better care for my brother, I would do anything to make his life easier and better for him.

I will also be doing other things to raise some money such as sky diving, put on events to raise awareness.
