Netsmart Cares - Covenant HO
Donation protected
Let's band together Netsmart and help one of our clients:
From K. McGehee, Covenant Hospice:
"Hurricane Michael’s impact was devastating to the communities of Panama City, Marianna and Tallahassee, Florida as well as Dothan, Alabama. These teams make up half of our hospice service area.
We have 400 patients and 165 employees who were impacted and only a few came out of it without significant damage to their homes and property.
Many lost their homes completely. The storm was projected as a Category 3, but kept building right off shore to a Category 4, but only 2 mph slower than a Category 5. In truth, the communities north of Panama City expected the storm to reach land and begin to die down. Unfortunately, the max sustained winds were still 145-150 mph even 100 miles north of PC as it moved on shore. These areas have never seen this kind of total decimation.
We are doing EVERYTHING we can go get boots on the ground as fast as possible. Anything that NETSMART can do to help our efforts would be life changing for us right now as we seek to provide aid for our patients and our own staff members. "
