Help Joe resume his life after ICE detention

Donation protected
Joe Kay is a political science student in his twenties. He has a deep passion for working on human rights and has been living in the US for over 10 years. He had a promising and bright future awaiting him, with one year left to conclude his college studies and graduate.

Joe applied for asylum, as he feared returning to his home country in the Middle East, since the government there imposes the death penalty on anyone who does not embrace its politics and state-sponsored religion. Despite having a valid immigration status, and no security concerns whatsoever, ICE heartlessly detained Joe. Forcing him to go through the immigration court system, known for its unjust and prolonged proceedings, making him suffer nine months of debilitating detention.

Thanks to support from his community, who stood by him throughout his detention, along with Joe's lawyers who sued the government and challenged the legality of the detention. The federal district court and the 1st circuit court in Boston both ruled that "the government violated the petitioner's [Joe's] due process rights by providing constitutionally deficient immigration bond hearings." Joe was then released and subsequently granted asylum. Detention made a heavy toll on Joe, legal fees exhausted his resources, and his studies got delayed. He appeals for support so that he can get back to school, take care of its fees, resume his life and stand on his feet again!

Any amount of support would make a huge difference, and would be greatly appreciated, even a share would help a ton!

Thank you!
