Hello to our family & very closest friends! If you made it here, thank you. My name is Jessica, my husband, Jorge & I were recently asked to leave our apartment complex. We have been residing there for over a year, without any issues. We have three small children, all under the age of 9, including two special needs girls, one of whom suffers from Cerebral Palsy, PMG, cerebral dysplasia and hypertonia of her right leg. The reason we were given a “7 day to vacate” notice, was due to several noise complaints coming from our neighbors, in regards to our daughters behavior. She tends to get frustrated when she feels she is unable to communicate her needs and sometimes has tantrum fits or will throw things. We are unable to predict the exact dates and times that these incidences may occur. We feel we have been bullied by management and treated completely unfairly. We did not want any additional confrontation, so we decided to be the bigger people and leave. We were given such short notice that we were forced to leave behind almost everything we own, including all of our beds and mattresses, desks, dressers, pull out couch, recliner chair, coffee table, dining room table and chairs, as well as over $800 worth of food in the fridge and pantry. My daughter was made to leave behind her brand new dollhouse that she got for her birthday in January. My son was forced to leave behind his brand new Lego table and chairs, as well. Not to mention the hallway closet that was full of the kids games and DVD’s. My husband works so very hard in order to make sure we are all well taken care of. This was completely unexpected and we had no time to prepare. We decided to swallow or pride, for our children’s sake, and reach out for a little bit of assistance. I know I have some real, true friends out there. I am confident we will get through this together, as a family. Thank you for reading, anything is appreciated.
