Help Me Support Health in Nepal: A Journey of Learning, Service & Impact
Hi, my name is Alaina, and I’m a Research Student and Accredited Exercise Physiologist with a deep passion for helping people live healthier, more empowered lives through movement, education, and connection.
This coming January, I have the incredible opportunity to join the Nepal Health Promotion Challenge—part of a global initiative led by FutureSense Foundation. The program brings essential health education, hygiene awareness, and preventative care to rural villages in the Kathmandu Valley that lack access to basic public health services. I’ll be working alongside local leaders and fellow students to deliver interactive school workshops, pop-up health clinics, hygiene training, and first aid education. These activities are grounded in UN Sustainable Development Goals for Good Health, Sanitation, Gender Equality, and Quality Education
To participate, I need to raise $2,700, which covers the program fee, in-country transport, accommodation, and materials needed to deliver community programs. I will be funding my own flights and personal travel.

What Additional Funds Will Support
If donations exceed the program fee, all surplus funds will be directed toward community‑led health, wellbeing and sustainability initiatives in local villages—based on FutureSense Foundation’s approach to delivering lasting change.
Specifically, excess funding may enable:
• Enhanced Pop-up Health Clinics & First Aid Training
Supporting broader access to preventive health services and emergency response education for school and community members.
• Interactive Health Workshops
Delivering community and school-based programming on hygiene, sanitation, women’s health, nutrition, and youth well-being—empowering beneficiaries with knowledge and tools to improve health outcomes.
• Support for Clean Water & Sanitation
FutureSense prioritises SDG 6 and SDG 3, focusing on improved access to hygiene facilities and sanitation education to reduce preventable diseases in rural areas.
• Sustainability Projects Aligned with Grassroots Needs
FutureSense implements low-overhead, volunteer-powered models that ensure funds go further to benefit community projects addressing health, waste management, and gender equality—ensuring meaningful impact and alignment with local priorities .

Your donation will directly support community members in Nepal by delivering vital education, healthcare access, and long-term wellbeing initiatives. If donating isn’t possible right now, simply sharing the campaign means the world.
Thank you for supporting this journey and believing in the power of sustainable community development.
With gratitude,
Alaina
