Dear friends, families and well-wishers and kind hearted people out there !
This fund raising campaign is generated by Yeti Nepali Association, UK, a UK-based Nepalese community organisation established in 1960.
Yeti Nepali Association, UK is recognised as the oldest organisation formed by the Nepalese diaspora in the Western world. For more than 65 years, our Association has brought the Nepalese community together, preserved our culture and identity, promoted community welfare and provided support during times of hardship.

Why we have launched this appeal ?
Nepal is currently facing a heartbreaking humanitarian emergency following catastrophic flooding and landslides.
Families have lost loved ones, homes, businesses and everything they have worked for throughout their lives. Roads, bridges and essential infrastructure have been destroyed, leaving some affected communities isolated and extremely difficult for rescue and relief teams to reach.
Parents are desperately waiting for news of their children. Children are waiting to hear whether their parents are safe. Survivors are standing among the mud and debris where their homes once stood, uncertain about where they will sleep, how they will obtain food and clean water, or how they will begin rebuilding their lives.
For those of us watching from the safety of our homes in the United Kingdom, the photographs and videos are heartbreaking. However, for the victims, this is not simply a news story. It is their family, their home, their livelihood and their entire future.
Although many of us now live in the United Kingdom, Nepal remains our homeland. Members of Yeti Nepali Association have families, relatives, friends and deep community connections throughout Nepal. When people in Nepal suffer, that suffering is felt personally across our entire diaspora community.
Yeti Nepali Association UK is not raising funds for one particular individual or family. Our relationship is with the wider Nepalese community, and this appeal has been established collectively to support the people and communities affected by the disaster in Nepal.
Although the wider disaster has affected areas of both Nepal and Tibet, **this particular fundraising campaign is intended to support disaster relief and recovery efforts within Nepal only.**
How the funds will be handled and spent ?
Yeti Nepali Association, UK will not use these donations for its own general activities, and we will not distribute the money directly to individual beneficiaries.
After the fundraising campaign closes—or earlier if the emergency requires an urgent transfer—the net funds received through GoFundMe will be transferred through an official and traceable banking channel to the Government of Nepal’s Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.
The only deductions will be any unavoidable GoFundMe payment-processing charges, banking charges or currency-conversion costs applied during the collection and transfer process.
The Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund is the Government of Nepal’s official mechanism for supporting disaster response and recovery, including:
* Search and rescue operations
* Emergency medical treatment
* Food and clean drinking water
* Temporary shelter and essential relief supplies
* Assistance for displaced and affected families
* Rehabilitation of affected communities
* Restoration of essential disaster-damaged infrastructure
The Government of Nepal, through the relevant authorities, will be responsible for identifying affected communities and allocating the funds according to the needs arising from the disaster.
Yeti Nepali Association, UK will not personally select individual beneficiaries or control the Government’s final distribution decisions. Our responsibility is to collect the donations honestly, transfer the net amount to the official relief fund and maintain appropriate evidence of the transfer.
To ensure transparency and accountability, we will retain the relevant GoFundMe records, banking evidence and official transfer confirmation. We will also provide donors with an update confirming the amount raised and transferred through our official communication channels.
Why even a small donation matters?
We understand that everyone has different financial circumstances. Please do not feel that your contribution is too small to make a difference.
A donation of £5, £10 or any amount you can afford becomes powerful when it is combined with hundreds or thousands of other compassionate contributions.
One small donation may not rebuild an entire home, but together our contributions can become part of the emergency response that provides food, clean water, temporary shelter, medical assistance and hope to families who have suddenly lost everything.
What may feel like a tiny amount to us can become part of something life-changing for someone facing the most difficult moment of their life.
If you are unable to donate, you can still help by sharing this appeal with your family, friends, colleagues and wider community. Every share may bring this campaign to another compassionate person, and every person reached increases the support available for Nepal’s affected communities.
Nepal has always shown extraordinary courage during times of hardship. However, during a disaster of this scale, courage must be supported by compassion and collective action.
Let us come together—not only as Nepalese people, but as human beings.
Let us show the victims that they have not been forgotten.
Let us remind the families who have lost everything that they are not alone.
Please donate whatever you can and share this appeal widely.
Every donation matters. Every share matters. Every act of kindness matters.
Together, even our smallest contributions can make a meaningful difference.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Yeti Nepali Association, UK, Family
