With the current delay in the distribution of SNAP benefits, we wanted to do something to help our neighbors in North Smithfield who may be in need.

Because of the urgency of people needing food, we are organizing a one-time distribution of groceries planned for November 9th at Town Hall. No amount is too small and will help us shop for needed food items to be distributed. 100% of the funds received will be spent on groceries to be distributed to residents on Sunday. We will plan our shopping to stretch your donations as best as we can.

If you prefer to donate non-perishable food, we are also collecting food through November 8th at North Smithfield Town Hall, library, and police station (24/7) during their operating hours.

I (Cheryl) am personally managing the expenditures of your donations and the distribution of food to town residents at Town Hall on November 9th. Anything that is not distributed today will be donated to the North Smithfield Food Pantry at Slatersville Congregational Church for future distribution to town residents.
