My name is Bryon Skvor and I have lived in Oberlin with my family for almost ten years now.  I am launching this "Go Fund Me" campaign in my pursuit to proactively love my neighbor.  
The money raised from this campaign will be used to put a brand new roof on my neighbor's house.  Their current roof is in ABSOLUTE dissaray and needs replaced ASAP.  This neighbor is a family that has been VERY active in the Oberlin community for as long as I have lived here and at one point had a very successful and poignant store here in town.  I have decided to leave the family anonymous for fear of any kind of unnecessary attention.  They have no idea that I am doing this.  
Here is my goal.  I want to raise $6000.  This money will be used for the materials, the dumpster and the permits needed to complete the project as well as compensate a few people to help me replace it. 
 My time is completely voluntary and unpaid.  I will manage the job, order the materials, dumpster, and coordinate the workers and any other volunteers interested in helping.  I will help with the labor as much as possible but will depend on my skilled helpers to do the bulk of it. 
We will remove the existing shingles and replace any damaged wood and install new 50 year shingles.  We will remove any rotten fascia and replace it as needed. If there is any extra money we will replace the gutters.  
When this goal is reached, I will contact my neighbor and present this to them and have them pick the shingle color and coordinate the time that would work best for them.  
I want to do this because this is the world I want to live in.  I believe loving your neighbor is what changes the world more than anything else.   My neighbor has a DRASTIC need and this is what I can do to help it.  
The goal is that the money would be raised in the next 15 days so that we can replace the roof before the winter.  If winter comes early and sticks around then this project will be completed as soon as the weather breaks in the spring.  
This neighbor is an OBERLIN staple and loved by many.  Let's rally together and show them how loved they are. I cannot do this alone.  If you can help please do. If you would love to volunteer on the project that will be accepted as well!
