Let’s raise money to fix her basement apartment and secure her income!

Hi, I’m writing this post on behalf of my neighbor, Marni Peterson, who has been struggling to make ends meet ever since she was left on her own after a divorce. She has a basement apartment in her house that she could rent out, but it needs some repairs before it can be habitable.

The repairs include cabinets, carpet and flooring, window coverings, electrical work, appliances, and other repairs associated with a recent flood. We expect these costs could climb to $10,000, which is way beyond her budget.

She has applied for some government assistance, but it’s not certain and it may take a long time to process. She needs our help to get her basement apartment ready, as soon as possible, so she can start earning some income and provide for herself.
