Need help to pay for vision therapy for Makenna

Hi! My name is Gina and I am desperately seeking help to pay for vision therapy for my 13 year old daughter Makenna. At the age of two Makenna had surgery to correct a turn in her eye. Little did we know that it would forever change the course of her life. It's just recently been discovered that Makennas brain has only been taking images in through the eye that wasn't corrected. Her whole life she has been struggling because of this issue and no one knew. Well they thought they knew at least. Because of her inability to focus on tasks at hand she was diagnosed with ADHD. Just recently she was diagnosed with a severe learning disability. As a mom you just know that this can't be it....there has to be more I can do to help her! After the most recent diagnosis, she was referred to a vision therapist who actually looked deeper into her issues...She has had extensive testing that has confirmed that the issues Makenna has been suffering with her whole life is all related to how she sees things..which isn't great I should mention,as her brain doesn't want to do the work to help her achieve success. But this can be corrected! My beautiful girl has a fighting chance of being a normal kid. My heart breaks just knowing that all the bullying she has encountered over the years, could have been prevented had she just been able to see things the same way others do. She has grown up with other kids telling her she's stupid and different. All this because her brain acknowledges things differently. I'm sorry to go on and on but this can all be fixed with the help of a 48 week, vision therapy program that will help to re-train her brain to use her eyes as they were intended. I just need to raise the money to do so!!! To anyone that donates I would be more than happy to provide documentation...receipts...anything. Please help me change my sweet girls life..She is so deserving of this!
