As many of you probably know, I'm Kylee, the daughter of Andrea. I’ve written this over and over, trying to find the right words to ask for help. Each time, I’ve had to erase the entire thing and start all over. To be quite honest, the words I’m writing out don’t seem to do justice enough to the person that Andrea is, but I’m going to try.

I don’t remember the first time I met Andrea; she’s just always been in a constant in my life. More importantly, she’s been the type of mom I never knew I needed. She came into not only my life, but my brother’s and dad’s when we needed her the most. She accepted us with open arms and treated us as if we were her own. For the last twenty years she has given her everything to her kids, husband, family, friends, and her job and never once has looked for anything in return. She is one of the most selfless people I have ever met. She has taught me so much in my life, but the most important thing I have learned from her is love.

Earlier this month, we got the devastating news that she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. She, nor my dad, are ones to ask for help. However, they can’t do this on their own. She’s too selfless to bring this upon anyone else. But in these trying times, I ask that you take a little bit of her selflessness and help her in any way you can. She is in a marathon race and she needs all the people on the sidelines to cheer her on.

My parents unfortunately are in between insurance, so everything until January will be out of pocket. Anything will help.

As I sit here writing this as almost a thank you to her, I want to thank you all for taking the time to help her and know that we are forever grateful to each and every one of you.
