Make Nature Accessible at Learning Tree Farm
Tax deductible
Learning Tree Farm is becoming Accessible!
Will you donate today so community members with mobility disabilities, like Kyra, can safely visit Learning Tree Farm?
Visiting LTF has been one of Kyra’s favorite outdoor activities for the last five years. However, it’s difficult for her to get around the Farm in her manual and powered wheelchair, which creates frustration and safety risks.
The Farm sits on a slope; the ground is uneven and sometimes muddy. These obstacles make it difficult for Kyra and others with mobility challenges to feel safe and comfortable, and it is physically difficult for the caregivers who push wheelchairs.
But we can change all that and you can help!
The Accessibility Project consists of constructing a smooth cement path starting in the driveway. From there, it leads to the tasting gardens with accessible raised beds, the beloved barn animals, freshwater handwashing station, accessible restroom, and picnic pavilion with an accessible picnic table. We still need to raise $5,000 toward the $101,468 capital campaign project. Will you help?
Your gift's ROI will give everyone in the community with mobility challenges the opportunity to safely play and participate in hands-on, nature-based education at Learning Tree Farm.
Thank you for your support,
Kyra and the LTF Staff
