Nature Nurture Animal Farm is not for profit community company that provides alternative educational and therapeutic opportunities for people with disabilities. The farm supports individuals to gain confidence, learn practical skills and connect with animals and nature!
The friendly farm is home to guinea pigs, rabbits, chicken, sheep, goats and pigs all lovingly cared for by the founder Lorraine, a truly dedicated lady who pours her heart into this project. She's supported by a small team of volunteers and young adults on work placements including my son Isaac who is studying farming and has Autism and ADHD.
The farm gives people like Isaac a real sense of belonging and purpose and every visitor leaves with a smile!
WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
Nature Nurture farm has recently moved to a new site and while the animals have settled in beautifully, one essential thing is missing: a proper CABIN!
The Cabin will provide:
- A safe sheltered space for staff and volunteers to take breaks
- a place to make a warm drink and store personal belongings
- storage for other things
- a base for visitors and students during poor weather
- The cabin will be fitted with solar panels helping the farm generate its own clean electricity and move toward sustainability
OUR GOAL
raise 10,000 to cover
- delivery and installation. of the cabin
- solar panel fittings
- interior fitting (seating, basic kitchen area, storage)
- VAT and additional set up costs
Every penny will go directly to this project helping us keep Nature and Nurture Animal Farm running and sustainably for the community
