The National Space Centre is an Educational Charity providing “Space For Everyone”. Our Community Engagement Team work to break down barriers and increase entry points to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths) for local young people experiencing deprivation within the satellite communities who wouldn't otherwise be able to access the centre.

Our work is all about:

- Empowering confidence

- Boosting inspiration, aspiration and creativity

- Facilitating connection and embedding a sense of belonging

- Building transferable skills, knowledge and understanding

On the centre's 25th anniversary year, 25 National Space Centre staff members and supporters are running 10K to fundraise for the Community Engagement Team. They will be taking part in running events in Leicester City Centre on Sunday 1st March and around Abbey Park on Sunday 12th April. ‍
