Nathan Eger Eagle Project Fundraiser

My name is Nathan Eger, I’m an Eagle Scout candidate from Boy Scout Troop 280 in St. Johns, Florida. One of the requirements of earning Eagle is the Eagle Service Project. An Eagle Project must demonstrate leadership of others and provide service to a worthy institution other than the Boy Scouts. My project beneficiary is Baptist M.D. Anderson Jacksonville. My mother has been a patient at M.D. Anderson since 2015, by witnessing how cancer effects a person firsthand, I have deep understanding of what these patients go through on a daily basis and every little thing helps. My project will be a custom-made storage box with 50 chemo care bags included. The box will be made out of maple wood and will be coated in polyurethane so can be kept sanitized. The drawstring care bags will include items such as blankets, lip balm, scent-free lotion, notebooks, water bottles, candies, and other items recommended by previous or current cancer patients just like my mom.
