Nathan & Kaitlin’s Adoption Story

Hi! I am so excited to be able to witness this adoption story unfold for these two! The cost for adoption can be incredibly overwhelming and we would love nothing more than to help alleviate part of this by partnering with them through prayer support and if you would be willing, financial support. We are adopting!!

Many of you have followed our journey. Many of you have prayed for us. Many of you have shared your same struggle and offered us hope and encouragement. We are grateful to be able to share the next step on our journey to becoming parents.

After 3 years of infertility, the Lord has made it clear that pursuing adoption is our next step for now. How? It wasn’t an easy overnight decision and it wasn’t one that I gave into easily. Never did I think I would be open to adoption and I couldn’t even give you a real reason why. I just wasn’t.

I can tell you that after a year of pondering, praying, and grieving continual negative test results, failed treatments, and constant questioning, the Lord became very real to both Nathan and me, and the peace He offered us in our struggle was all the confirmation we needed.

I had been praying for my desire for so long, asking God to line up with what I believed was a God-given desire. When I finally became very honest with Him, I realized then that maybe His desire for our lives was different than mine and that He wanted me to give Him more of my trust and faith in the plan He had laid out for Nathan and me.

Nathan has always been open to adoption and brought it to my attention early on. This is how I know my God is always working for our good. He wants us to have faith enough for His way to take center stage in our lives. HE changed my heart after asking why and asking why not, he gave me the answer by way of peace. Peace in a process I never thought I’d be open to.

So, here we are! Nathan and I are so incredibly excited and encouraged by this journey we are on. Scared? Yes, of course, but peaceful in the process. We are planning our home study and designing our nursery. Expectantly anticipating God to give us our next step all while having faith enough to trust him with the answer He gives us.

We have no idea what that will look like, but we want to be obedient to Him and to His leading and we are so confident that this is what He has for us right now.

We need and want all of you to continue to hold us up in prayer. We know that it has helped carry us through a painful season. We want all of you to be a part of what God will do next.
