Hello friends, coworkers, school acquaintances from elementary on up that I haven’t spoken to in decades, and people that I have met from my travels. Yesterday my house burnt down!!! It’s a total loss and the building, with everything in it, has a demolition order. I have lost everything I own, from the extensive decade worth of journals, to my bike, to my contacts, my herbal apothecary that I made, close to $1500 in cash, all of my clothes, furniture, and childhood memorabilia. As well as the obvious place to live.

Many you may know, while many of you may not, that I spent several years backpacking around and living out of a backpack and my little Mazda 3 (rip February 2025), and only recently did I feel safe enough to settle into a home and buy things like my own bed for the first time, amongst other things.

I’m still in quite a bit of shock as it happened just yesterday, and I watched it burn to the ground. Everyone got out safely, no animals, children, or adults were harmed. The house next door caught fire for a short period of time and have suffered a loss as well. It’s devastating all around.

I’m now in the position again of rebuilding my life from nothing at all. I’ve received some resources from the Red Cross and am trying to figure out my next moves.
