Natasha’s adventure Volunteering abroad
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Natasha and I am currently in my final year of nursing school. After three years of hard work and dedication, I am excited to share that I have the incredible opportunity to volunteer in Battambang, Cambodia, for four weeks this August, from the 2nd to the 30th. This experience will take place just before I receive my nursing pin, marking the beginning of my professional journey as a qualified nurse.
During this time, I will be immersed in the local healthcare system, working closely with local schools, communities and healthcare professionals. I will have the privilege of designing and delivering basic first aid training sessions while promoting health and wellness workshops. This is a wonderful chance for me to share the knowledge and skills I have gained throughout my studies and help empower individuals within their community. In addition to workshops, I will also be involved in pop-up clinics and home visits, where I’ll work to reduce barriers to healthcare access in underserved areas.
This opportunity is incredibly meaningful to me, not only as a way to apply my skills in a global context, but also as a chance to learn from and connect with a new culture. I believe that through collaboration and sharing knowledge, we can make a tangible impact on the well-being of individuals and communities and I hope to contribute to that vision during my time in Cambodia.
If you are able to support me in this endeavor, whether through a donation or by simply sharing this message, I would be beyond grateful. Your kindness and generosity will help me make a real difference and every little bit counts.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Your support, in any form, means the world to me.
With gratitude,
Natasha X
