Help Us Match Backpacks for Youth in the Greater Vancouver Area

Campaign Overview

We’re NATAB, a Vancouver-based African Folk band, and we’re teaming up with The Black Arts Centre to launch a Back to School Drive that equips local youth with the tools they need to start the school year strong.

We’ve already committed to purchasing 24 pre-packaged backpacks, and now we’re inviting our community to help us match that donation so we can reach even more kids in need.

Why It Matters

Back-to-school season should be filled with excitement, not worry. But for many families, the cost of supplies can be a real barrier. Together, we can help lift a bit of the burden and set children up for a confident, prepared start to the year.

What’s in Each Backpack? Every pre-packaged kit includes:

• 17” Backpack

• Pack of 5 Crayons

• Sharpener with Dome Cover

• 2 Pink Erasers

• Two-Pocket Folder (assorted colors)

• Glue Stick

• Highlighter

• 70-Page Spiral Notebook

• Pack of 3 Pencils

• Pack of 3 Pens (blue & black)

• 12” Ruler

• Pencil Case

Our Goal

We’ve covered the first 24 backpacks, and with your help, we can match that donation, and potentially surpass it by August 30th, 2025.
