We’re reaching out on behalf of our dear friend and valued member of the community, Nat Taylor.

Nat has been bravely battling degenerative spinal disease and scoliosis for years. Despite constant, often unbearable pain, she continues working just to make ends meet. Her condition has now reached the point where she urgently needs major spinal fusion surgery — a serious, life-changing procedure that could finally give her relief and restore some quality of life.

Unfortunately, Nat is facing a minimum 12-month wait for surgery through the private health system, as the public system lacks the necessary equipment to perform this operation. In the meantime, she is forced to continue working, even on days when the pain becomes too much to bear.

Nat doesn’t have the luxury of taking time off — like so many, if she doesn’t work, she doesn’t get paid. We want to change that.

We’re asking for your help to raise funds that will:

Allow Nat to take needed time off work when the pain becomes unmanageable

Support her with living expenses and medical-related costs in the lead-up to surgery

Help her prepare for the long recovery process after the operation

Nat has always shown incredible strength, resilience, and kindness. She’s someone who gives to others without ever asking for anything in return — and now, it’s time for us to give back to her.
