Hi I’m Naomi!

Thanks for reading my Go Fund Me page. Over the next 18 months I am fundraising to go on a 4 week Camps International sixth form trip to Tanzania. My parents are funding my flights and all my personal expenses on the trip but I am fundraising the remaining £3,500 that goes towards the projects in Tanzania that I’ll be involved with.

I have set up a small business with my mum called Alphabet Artistry selling personalised art and 100% of the profits will go towards my Tanzania fundraising. Please follow our instagram page on @alphabet.artistry and DM me if you’d like to buy anything as a gift or to treat yourself.

The money I raise on this donations page and all the Alphabet Artistry profits will go directly to the projects I’ll be working on in Tanzania over the 4 weeks. I will travel to a few different places staying in different African banda camps in Tanzanian villages.

Community projects may include helping to build classrooms, constructing or refurbishing community buildings and installing water storage systems. I might be cement mixing, brick laying or digging with my school team to construct or renovate community facilities. We will work alongside local people and skilled tradespeople to create sustainable solutions and help to improve living standards for locals. Environmental projects might include tree planting, digging waterholes or making elephant dung paper.

I will also have free time to interact with the local people and join in games with the children, learn cooking skills and enjoy cultural activities. I also have chance over a couple of days to achieve a PADI Scuba diving qualification.

All of this will be a huge challenge for me and one which I hope will help others and teach me many new things too.
