90 days of in-home childcare will save my family from losing everything.
Dear friend,
Since last September when my husband was laid off, the outpouring of kindness and support from friends has blessed and inspired us beyond words. We look forward to the day (hopefully soon) when we can pay it forward in greater measure than we have received.
Although each gesture has served a big need and we are thankful, none has helped us find a solution to getting out of this situation — permanently. In fact, our situation is more dire now than ever. Despite the support of friends, and my husband taking whatever work he can, my car remains parked without gas, whatever food we have comes from food pantries, spring is coming and my four children will need clothes (they already need shoes), and we certainly do not have adequate healthcare. If we loose our home, we will be forced into shelters sense at the moment we don’t even have $50 a month for housing. But I believe accepting help for unemployment drama has an expiration date and that date has passed for us.
So I am asking for your support one last time so that I can get in-home childcare for 90 days (from March 1st through May 31st, roughly). This will allow me to ensure my children are safe, happy, keeping up with their studies, and maintaining a sense of purpose and contribution while they watch me live out what I have always taught them — that with diligence, prayer and a good community, they can overcome any setback. Once my primary obligation to my children is looked after, I will send my little online business into hyper-drive. If I can invest eight hours a day into this work I will be able to provide for my own family’s needs permanently — no more financial stupor needed.
I am so confident in this because I have already built this business and it is showing explosive potential AND I have a business mentor — a husband and wife team whom I have known for ten years and who have proven their own business success. Under their mentorship, I have solid council to prevent rookie mistakes, keep me focused on what is working and know how to pivot strategies when something is not. I have a business plan and a step-by-step path to take me from stagnant to profitable in 90 days. But the key to this is finding the support I need for my children during this time.
So, dear friends, if you are still asking what you can do to help, this is it! Would you also please forward this email and beat the bushes for me?
God bless you!
