Lahaina wildfire destroyed Nakata homestead

（日本語訳あり）Aloha, my name is Mikey Kidnay, so many people have suffered and been impacted by the wildfires that have devastated our beloved Lahaina Town. Being from Lahaina, and a third-generation Lahainaluna graduate has always been something I boast about, and have immense pride for. My heart breaks seeing the videos and pictures of Lahaina in its current state, and my love, thoughts, and prayers go out to all of the people affected by this tragedy. My wife Satoko and I are starting this GoFundMe page for our family members that have lost pretty much everything when the fires reached our property that has been in our family for over 70 years. My grandparents, Kenichi and Haruko Nakata, were the original buyers of our property when they were a newlywed couple and little by little built the homes that our current family has just been displaced from.

Through the grace of God, all of our family members were able to evacuate in time with nothing but the pets and the clothes on their backs. The family members I am trying to help would be my Sister Anne Tanner, her family, and my father John Kidnay. There is also my niece Shelby Uwekoolani, Ravin Ah Puck, and their two kids who also have lost their home because of this tragedy.

I know that the past few years have been a difficult time for most of us and have presented many challenges for us to bear. But to help my family to heal and rebuild I am asking with an eternally grateful heart for any type of support at this time. Every prayer, thought, dollar, and/or share can help to give our family a place to call home again. Any Aloha you are able to give is very much appreciated.

Locating temporary housing

Purchasing furniture and other necessities

Purchasing food for family and pets

The rebuilding of the family homes

Lastly, I ask that you please pray for all of the Lahaina Community as they embark on a long journey to restore the town to its picturesque glory it was just a short time ago before the fires.
