NAIDOC PRIDE GALA 'FOR OUR ELDERS'
Donation protected
The 6th of July 2023 our community will gather to celebrate and show gratitude to our Elders at Fitzroy Town Hall.
Vic NAIDOC Pride Gala will present prolific speakers, performances, and artists from the Blak LGBTQIA+ community, by grassroots for grassroots.
Creative Producer Arika Waulu, Head of Artistry Enoki, Lead Producer Monikha of Other Goods & Services, with the support of the Vic NAIDOC Committee are putting together this incredible event.
Arika Waulu is a non-binary visual designer with a commitment to grassroots community activation in areas such as art, culture, accessibility, LandBack, native rehabilitation.
This year, we want to honour our Elders by hosting a Gala dinner that offers full accessibility requirements and comfort for our respected elders. The Fitzroy Town Hall is the most appropriate venue in the area that holds significant value to the community.
Our FIRST Pride Gala provides an opportunity for the Koorie LGBTQIA+ community to come together and celebrate their identity in a safe space. The visual representations, celebrations, and support that are provided at this event are essential for many individuals who may not have access to such spaces elsewhere. These events offer a sense of familiarity and nurturing that is crucial for the well-being of the community.
We welcome our First Nations LGBTQIA+ community to celebrate our Elders and cultural and historical existence. We welcome all who have been staunch with the Blak LGBTQIA+ community to attend.
We are looking for $7000 to help contribute to make this event possible.
Tickets to attend are available here: https://events.humanitix.com/naidoc-pride-gala
