Nabra Hassanen, an extraordinary, loving, caring 17 year old Muslim girl, was kidnapped, assaulted, and murdered during the holy month of Ramadan in June 2017.

She brightened the lives of everyone around her with an exceptional character and a beautiful smile. She was full of compassion and, to her, it was a joyful instinct to help the underprivileged and those in need. She was a phenomenal advocate for human rights. Sadly, hers were taken away.

Nabra's Blessing Bags is an annual charity event that takes place on April 14th in which members of the community come together on Nabra's birthday to package and distribute blessings bags to the less fortunate community of Washington, D.C. in remembrance of Nabra.

Last year, we had an amazing turnout and were able to collect enough donations to distribute about 500 blessing bags to the homeless community at Franklin Square Park. Join us this year for the 2nd Annual Event which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 14th, 2019.
