Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a little bit about why I’m fundraising and what this trip means to me.

This year, I’ve been given the opportunity to travel to Nairobi, Kenya, to volunteer in childcare, working with babies and school-aged children. I’ll be helping support day-to-day care, learning English and maths, playing, and spending time with children in a setting where extra help and attention can make a real difference.

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love working with children. Through teaching swimming and what I’m studying in college, caring for and supporting kids has always been something I feel really passionate about. When this opportunity came up, I was genuinely so excited and grateful for the chance to be part of something like this.

The money raised will go towards making the trip possible, including:

The childcare program costs, flights, visa fees and required vaccinations.

If I’m lucky enough to raise more than I need, any additional funds will be donated directly to sustainable projects within the local community. These projects focus on improving the environment the children grow up in and supporting the local economy, so the impact continues long after my time there.

Anything at all, big or small, would help me massively. And if donating isn’t possible, I’d be just as grateful if you could share this so it can reach more people.
