Recently, Serena Morris was diagnosed with breast cancer. Serena has been part of strength and culture of Hampden Academy and RSU #22 for the past 29 years, while shaping a lot of young minds and guiding new teachers. With this passion, she has led school trips to Costa Rica to work on leatherback turtle conservation work and give her students the experience of real world scientific research. She views this experience as a way to introduce students to the wonderful opportunities to bettering the world. She also coaches cross country and track at Wagner Middle School and Hampden Academy.
With all the great things Serena does on a daily basis, she has the most pride in raising her 7 year old grandson.
