Help Frick Cheer Get To The Nationals!!
Donation protected
The Frick Cheer Squad from East Oakland, CA, needs your help to get to Las Vegas to make themselves heard at a National Competition!
Honesti, the Team Capitan explains:
"Ever since the school year has begun and the cheer team came together we have been working very hard to get where we are right now. We have participated in four competitions this year and did our best in each of them. The last competition that we performed at was in Livermore, CA at the JAMZ competition on December 10th. At this competition, we placed 1st and got an invite to go compete at Nationals in Vegas! These competitions helped us get to where we are right now, helped us build our team relationships, and boosted our love for cheerleading overall.
As cheerleaders, the chance to go to Nationals is a very big opportunity for us but we all know money is an issue. We have around 25 girls on our team, we all will do anything to make it possible, but we only can do so much. Living in Oakland CA you know this would be a very good experience for everyone. We have to raise about $5,000 to pay for buses/transportation and hotel rooms for everyone. Our trip is scheduled for January 26 - January 30th. We really want to make this possible. Any donation helps."
The Frick Cheer Squad has performed at and supported Youth Vs Apocalypse actions and is an amazing way for young women to practice coordination, leadership, and using their voices in a powerful, strong, and organized way. Ms. Morgan, their cheer coach, has welcomed YVA and supported the squad not only in their amazing performances but also in learning about climate justice and speaking out for what is right.
Funds raised here will go towards busses, lodging, and food costs.
We all hope you can support this amazing team of up-and-coming leaders in getting to where they need to be.
