Hi, I’m Gaby Briceño, and together with my husband Miguel “Skip” Quintero, we run Miami Flying Trapeze — a community space we built in our backyard where kids and adults come to face their fears, discover courage, and experience the magic of flying.
For years, Miami-Dade County has issued us citations and legal demands for permits that don’t even apply to our trapeze or treehouse. We have already spent over $150,000 on legal fees, but we are still fighting — and now we are at risk of losing our trapeze, our treehouse, and even our home.
This is more than a backyard project. It’s a place where families, kids, and adults come together to conquer fears, celebrate milestones, and leave stronger than when they arrived. It’s also a safe home for 51 rescued cats who depend on us. Losing this space would hurt not just us, but an entire community that has gathered here for years.
How Donations Will Help:
• Cover ongoing legal fees and appeals.
• Protect our home and community space.
• Keep our trapeze operating so people can continue to learn and fly.
• Support the care and food for 51 rescue cats during this battle.
Every donation — big or small — makes a difference. If you can’t donate, sharing this page is just as powerful. Together, we can keep this space alive and make sure the magic of flying stays in Miami for everyone who wants to experience it.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping us fight for fairness and keep this community alive. Your support means the world to us.
We also care for 51 rescue cats on this property, making it a safe haven not just for people, but for animals too. This place is our life’s work, our home, and a source of joy for so many — and now we’re fighting to save it.
